Hi guys!
2020 has been rough for a lot of people – for me as well. Last month my Volvo was totaled when someone t-boned me – on the drivers side. I suffered a concussion and body contusions. It could have been much worse had I not had side airbags. The resulting communication issues, jaw and nerve damage made it very difficult to manage my farm and animals alone. This is why I haven’t posted in awhile. As I’ve said repeatedly over the years – farm life can be tough solo, especially when you’re not feeling well or physically challenged – but it’s still doable. I’m fortunate to have some good friends and neighbors to help take a little stress off occasionally.
Now that I’m starting to recover, I plan to get back to posting regularly here and on my Facebook and Instagram pages.
I know a lot of you who follow me are teachers, and parents teaching kids at home, and I plan to provide you with as much helpful content as I can.
I’ve slowly been working on my fall garden plantings that include zucchini. I’ve seen a lot of people having issues with their zucchini and squash plants not producing – so my next post will discuss this and how to deal with it.
Other upcoming posts include: Raising Chicks (with helpful tips even most experts don’t tell you), Curing Blackhead in turkeys, Selecting goats for your home dairy, and a grocery bag tutorial reusing old feed sacks – this is great for beginner sewers.
As usual, if you have any questions please reach out, I’m happy to help. <3
