I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve thought “Thank God no one was here to see this.” or “I’m so glad there wasn’t a camera around to catch all the stupid things I do.”
This morning the weather was perfectly gorgeous. After days of rain the sun has been a welcome sight for all the animals. The temps are the in 60s which is ideal for feathers and fur. Everyone is happy and healthy.
I decided to take a walk around the property and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. The geese were enjoying their newly enlarged pond. The way they sweep around the pond and play is magical. If you follow me on Instagram I posted a video of the geese this morning.
I left Luca and the geese frolicking in the pond and continued my walk. I was enjoying my solo photo safari when I heard a sound behind me. I turned to see Luca. He had a look on his face that was particularly frisky. Suddenly he lunged towards me at a full speed run.
I didn’t have time to react before he tackled me. He took off running before I could retaliate. Games of tag aren’t as much fun when you never have a winning chance.
Later, I was reviewing photos when I came to the last picture. This was the last thing I saw before the takedown:
He seemed to be looking behind me so I wasn’t sure if he was coming for me or not. He was. He’s too smart for my own good.
Since moving here I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done something dumb or had something silly happen to me and was grateful no one was around to laugh or God forbid, capture it on film. This time I captured a moment from my point of view and I can’t stop laughing.
