This past week was my birthday. Usually a Thanksgiving birthday sucks but this year, for some reason, people remembered and I got some pretty cool and useful gifts.
One of this awesome gifts was from my oldest brother. He sent a 2 tiered grow light from Gardener’s Supply.
Despite being suspect about grow lights (not sure why) I was excited to see if my poor herbs who usually limp along during winter months would respond well to the light.
While the directions for putting it together weren’t stellar and it was a bitch to assemble the resulting product was perfect for me. It’s lightweight and rolls around. The two levels allow me to only the space I need.
I was excited to see how the plants would respond and watched them closely for any signs of new growth. I didn’t wait long. Four days into having the plants under the lights I noticed buds and even small leaves on most of the plants. WOOHOO!
I’ll post an update as winter goes on with the progress of my currently leggy herbs.

Even my problem child mint plant suddenly has new leaves!
